The Lord's Prayer
As part of today's Lenten journey, we will forgo a Scripture reading and spend time praying the Lord's Prayer. Seek to make this ancient prayer personal to your life today. Spend a few minutes in silence, quieting your heart and waiting on God. When you feel led to do so, pray this prayer as sincerely and authentically as you can, seeking to engage with the Spirit's guidance throughout each request.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
"This, then, is how you should pray:
"'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one,
for yours is the kingdom
and the power
and the glory forever. Amen.'" (Matthew 6:9-13, NIV)
